- Topical or Local anesthesia; application or injection or drugs to stop a painful sensation.
- Minimal sedation; drug induced state in which patient can respond to verbal command such as oral medication to decrease anxiety for MRI.
- Moderate or conscious sedation; in which patients purposely to verbal commands, either alone or by light tactile stimulation.
