Third-Year ABWA Medical College Students Visit Punjab Forensic Science Agency
We are pleased to share that third-year MBBS students of ABWA Medical College headed by Prof. Dr. Altaaf Pervez Qasim (HOD-Forensic Medicine), recently had the opportunity to visit the Punjab Forensic Science Agency (PFSA), the only professional forensic laboratory in Punjab. This visit was an invaluable experience for our students, offering them unique insights into the world of forensic science. During the visit, students learned about advanced forensic techniques and state-of-the-art equipment used in criminal investigations. The experts at the PFSA provided in-depth demonstrations and shared their expertise on various aspects of forensic analysis, including DNA profiling, toxicology, and ballistic examination. This hands-on experience allowed our students to connect their theoretical knowledge with practical applications, enhancing their understanding of the critical role forensic science plays in the justice system. The visit also sparked an interest in forensic medicine among many students, inspiring them to explore this specialized field further. Such educational excursions are an integral part of our curriculum, designed to broaden our students’ perspectives and prepare them for the diverse challenges of medical practice. We are committed to providing our students with the best learning opportunities, and this visit to the PFSA is a testament to our dedication to academic and professional growth of the students. Stay tuned for more updates on our students’ educational activities and achievements!
